This YouTube video is from Dr. Dish and features IMPACT Basketball founder Joe Abunassar. It works on a unique type of screen scenario meant to neutralize how defenses are countering the traditional screen and roll game.
“It’s a different angle on a ball screen that’s being used because most teams…they’re playing the ball screen down to the baseline,” says Abunassar. “So teams have adjusted their screening angle.”
1.) Guard starts with ball at the top of the key
2.) Forward or Center comes up to set the step-up screen on sideline side
3.) Guard comes off screen while screener pops
4.) Screener then re-screens toward the middle
5.) Guard comes off re-screen and screener pops to corner
6.) Guard passes to screener for corner jump shot
